BetHog Turns Its AI Live Dealer Feature Into A Wider B2B Play

BetHog Casino

Crypto casino BetHog says it has raised $10 million in Series A funding and will use the money to turn its in-house AI live dealer product into a broader B2B business called Sentient Studios. The round was co-led by Will Ventures and RockawayX, with participation from PCV, 6MV, Bullpen Capital, and Advancit Capital.

According to the company, the new raise brings BetHog’s total funding to $16 million. The goal is twofold: keep building AI dealer products on BetHog Casino, and sell the same technology to other gaming operators that want a more flexible live casino setup.

A Fresh B2B Pitch Built Around Lower Friction

BetHog says Sentient Studios will run on a pure revenue-share model, with no setup fees, no monthly minimums, and no fixed-term contracts. That structure is clearly aimed at operators that want to test AI-powered tables without taking on the usual upfront cost tied to live dealer rollouts.

The company is pitching the product as a software-driven alternative to traditional live dealer supply. In simple terms, instead of relying only on third-party studios and human staffing schedules, operators could launch AI-hosted tables faster, keep them running around the clock, and adjust the experience as demand changes.

Nigel Eccles Says Early Results Were Strong

BetHog Co-Founder and CEO Nigel Eccles said the company has been testing its AI dealer for the past six months and found it was “10X more popular” than its live dealer equivalent. He also said the early data showed stronger retention and player satisfaction.

“We’re excited to bring this product to other online casinos where operators can launch and scale their own dealer experiences instantly, operate continuously, and create more personalized interactions for players,” Eccles said.

That is a big claim, and one that will get attention across the casino sector. At the same time, operators and regulators will likely want more proof before treating AI dealers as anything close to a full replacement for conventional live tables.

Why BetHog Thinks the Timing Works

The sales pitch behind Sentient Studios is pretty straightforward. Many operators still depend on outside live casino providers, which can make it harder to customize table capacity, language support, or branding.

BetHog says its platform gives operators more control over dealer personas, branded environments, and tailored player experiences. It also argues that AI dealers can solve some of the practical bottlenecks of human-led studios, especially when it comes to scaling tables during peak traffic, adding more languages, or keeping games available 24/7.

From Sunny the Blackjack Dealer to a Full Platform

This B2B move builds on BetHog’s first AI blackjack dealer, Sunny, which the company introduced in October 2025. BetHog says Sunny is now available in 12 languages and has become one of the most-played games on its platform.

The company has leaned hard into the idea that an AI dealer can be more consistent, more personalized, and always available. BetHog previously said Sunny could greet players by name, remember past chats, and keep interactions going without the limits that come with shift-based studio operations.

Now, instead of keeping that concept as a house product, BetHog wants to package it for outside operators. If that works, Sentient Studios could become more than just a side project. It could turn into a new revenue line built on white-label AI casino content.

The Bigger Strategy Behind the Move

Eccles has been open before about BetHog’s crypto-first approach. His view has been that blockchain-based casinos can ship products faster than regulated operators because they are not dealing with the same approval timelines for every new feature.

That matters here. AI dealers are still a new concept, and crypto casinos offer a faster testing ground than tightly regulated US markets. BetHog was able to trial the product on its own platform, gather player response, and now use that data as a sales tool for a wider commercial launch.

For operators, the appeal is clear enough. If AI tables can increase session length, repeat visits, or overall engagement while reducing staffing and studio costs, the product becomes much easier to justify.

Traditional Live Dealer Leaders Are Still Backing Human Studios

BetHog’s announcement lands at a time when major regulated operators are still investing heavily in conventional live dealer setups. Brands like Caesars have continued expanding branded live dealer studios with human dealers, custom table layouts, and dedicated environments in regulated states.

That contrast is important. The current US live dealer model still leans on trust, familiarity, and a broadcast format regulators already understand. Human dealers remain the standard, especially for blackjack, roulette, and baccarat in licensed markets.

BetHog is not really arguing that those studios vanish overnight. The smarter read is that AI dealers may first be used as an added layer - covering overflow traffic, off-peak hours, niche languages, or promotional tables that would be expensive to run with live staff.

Why This Could Matter for Online Casino Economics

If BetHog’s internal numbers hold up, the business case could be powerful. Operators are always looking for ways to improve retention, boost bet frequency, and keep players on-site longer.

AI dealers fit that same broader industry push toward more personalized and scalable iGaming products. We have already seen major operators add engagement tools around jackpots, loyalty mechanics, and custom game layers. AI-hosted tables would be another version of that same trend, with the added promise of lower fixed operating costs.

For B2B clients, the revenue-share model also removes a lot of the early hesitation. Instead of making a large upfront commitment, an operator can test performance and expand only if the numbers make sense.

The Compliance Question Is Still Hanging Over the Category

The bigger hurdle is not whether the technology can work. It is whether regulators, partners, and players are comfortable with it.

In the US, live dealer gaming is already established, but AI dealers raise new questions around compliance, transparency, responsible gaming, and data use. Even if the gameplay mechanics remain the same, regulators may want much closer scrutiny of how these systems interact with players, what data they store, and how they are presented in marketing.

That is one reason this launch feels more like a gradual market test than a full industry reset. BetHog may find early traction with offshore and crypto-friendly operators first, while licensed brands take a wait-and-see approach.

BetHog Wants Baccarat and Roulette Next

BetHog says it plans to expand its AI dealer lineup later in 2026 with baccarat and roulette. That matters because blackjack alone can prove the concept, but a broader table game suite is what would make Sentient Studios more useful to outside operators.

A single AI blackjack host is an interesting product. A full stack of AI dealer tables is a much stronger B2B proposition. It gives operators more ways to fill out a live casino lobby, segment player traffic, and test different formats without depending on a traditional studio for every seat at the table.

What to Watch From Here

BetHog’s funding round gives the company more room to turn a headline-grabbing feature into a real B2B business. The key question now is whether operators buy into the idea that AI dealers are not just a novelty, but a scalable product with clear upside.

If adoption starts in smaller pilots and edge-case use scenarios, that would still be meaningful. In gambling, new formats often start as a supplement before they become a core part of the lobby.

For now, BetHog has moved its AI dealer story from product demo to commercial pitch. The next phase will show whether Sentient Studios can win over operators looking for more control, more localization, and a cheaper way to keep live casino tables running all day.
