I went online looking to play some fun slot games, and my search ended at the English Harbor Casino.Starting with the software download, the English Harbor experience was extremely user-friendly. The download was fast; it took less than five minutes. Once the software on my computer, the install was equally fast. The program wasn’t large, either, so English Harbor Casino doesn’t use a lot space on the hard drive. This is a big plus for me, since I use my home computer for work purposes, as well.
When I had the software loaded, I opened the casino and got a nice surprise: Unlike many Online Casinos for USA Players, English Harbor opens in a window, and does not automatically cover the entire desktop. Because of this, I was able to keep tabs on my work emails while I was playing the games, or to monitor my game play while I was working on business materials. Again, this was a big plus as far as I was concerned.
The games, however, really won me over to English Harbor. Everything I wanted to play was there: slots, slots, and more slots, traditional slots, 3-, 5-, and 7-reel video slots, and progressive slots tied to a fantastic jackpot. The games had funny graphics, and smooth action. There were no freezes, and no stop-and-go play. Several of the slots had an auto-play feature, allowing me to preset a number of spins, and, more importantly, to tell the game to stop spinning if it hit a jackpot, or even a lesser win. This feature impressed me; I had always felt that “auto-play” was an invitation for the one-armed bandit to take away a win, but that is not the case at English Harbor.
You might have guessed this already, but I really like slot games. However, even I want to try something else sometimes, and English Harbor has plenty of other options. In between slot rounds, I played Blackjack, 3 card Poker, and Baccarat, and even bet on some horse races. I particularly enjoyed the card games. The card tables were well laid out, and showed clearly how much I was betting, and exactly what I was betting on. There were no surprises. The graphics moved smoothly, like the slots, and the cards were easy to read. There was no ambiguity, only a couple dozen hands of good game play.
So far, my experience in English Harbor Casino has been as a guest player, just playing for fun. When I registered, I opened a “real money” account; however, when I tried to make a deposit at the cashier window, the casino informed me of a discrepancy between the credit card information and my account information. I don’t think of this as a negative for the casino; it would have been easy for them to say, “The card is good,” and charge me anyway, but they did not. They let me know about a potential problem, so that I could fix it.
So I give English Harbor Casino high marks: the infrastructure is good, the games are better, and the house is honest. What more can a player ask for?
